Back in June I recorded my new album in Inglewood, East Nashville. I'm so happy and thankful to have met the producer of my dreams Neilson Hubbard, who I worked with. These songs of mine were raw and beautiful, and my team and I (producer, tech engineer, session musicians) created something new, so each piece of that album started to shine with it's own light. It was an amazing process, with highs and lows, tears and doubt and joy and laughter. It was like magic that happened as we took step by step through the process of a week's work...
After returning home to Switzerland, the more difficult task awaited me after Neilson and Dylan (sound tech) sent me the first mix. Know what: on each device I listened to the tracks, they sounded different. On one the bass was too low, on the other too loud... how could this girl have not been confused with giving apropriate feedbacks ;)! Well, it took some time, but I got the job done with some help of friends and professionals, last but not least Neilson and Dylan. The next steps will be deciding on the sequencing of the songs and the mastering.
There will be some months until this baby will see the light of day, but if there is something I have learned in the last few weeks: a good thing needs time to grow, so I'll let it grow... and I will listen deeply to where my music wants to go.
There are so many feelings in my heart: I'm curious, anxious and stressed out about all the things to come, and also so grateful for everything I have experienced: all the help, the musicianship, the knowledge and support I got in the past and ever continuing on. So thankful you are part of my life, and me being able to share this project of love and hope and healing with you. Stay tuned
